Dr. Chi was born and raised in Florida and graduated from Florida Atlantic University and Barry University College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. While working in the hospital’s high-volume foot an ankle program, he received extensive training in forefoot and complex rear foot, ankle and leg reconstruction, as well as in foot and ankle traumatology. He specializes in external fixation of the lower extremity, infection management, diabetic foot reconstruction, and limb salvage. He joined Riverview Foot and Ankle in 2015.
Dr. Chi has participated in various charitable endeavors, including the Yucatan Crippled Children’s Project and Steps of Life Surgical mission trips to the Dominican Republic. He helped patients with limited resources and the less fortunate with debilitating congenital and post-traumatic deformities of the lower extremity.
Dr. Chi speaks both English and Chinese and is the Founding President of Asian and Pacific-Islanders association of Podiatry Students. He is also a published author in the Journal of American Podiatric Medical Association. When he’s not providing excellent care to his patients, Dr. Chi likes to fish and spend time with his family.
