Dr. Cranford trained at Barry University School of Medicine in Miami, and later completed his internship/residency at the prestigious Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ranked among the top training facilities in the country, he had the opportunity to train under expert podiatrists and foot and ankle orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Cranford has received extensive training in foot, rear foot, and ankle surgery and reconstruction, and trauma. Dr. Cranford brings with him over 10 years of experience from a private orthopedic practice in Texas where he served on many committees including the trauma team. He prides himself on continuing education, board certifications, and product development to continue to provide patients of all ages with the best care.
Dr. Cranford is one of four brothers and is an identical triplet. He was raised on the gulf coast near New Orleans and enjoys participating in historic traditions and culture in the area. He and his brothers are long standing members of the Krewe of Thoth and ride in Mardi Gras parades annually.
Dr. Cranford and his wife live in Sarasota with their three children. In his free time, he enjoys deep sea fishing with his father, the beautiful local beaches, traveling, and cooking.
